Freedom of Information (FOI) law was supposed to make it easier for all of us to get our hands on public documents that we own
Freedom of Information (FOI) law was supposed to make it easier for all of us to get our hands on public documents that we own; documents that government too often tries to keep secret. But as I’ve written about and testified to many times, including before House and the Senate committees, FOI law has been perverted by bad actors in government under both political parties so that it is a tool they use to obstruct, obfuscate and delay.

Trump Has Been Running the Country Like a Business
Senator David Perdue Highlights President Trump’s Year of Accomplishments. “Everybody outside of the Washington bubble recognizes the President’s agenda is beginning to work.” Instead of moving at the pace of most politicians, Trump has been running the country like a business, getting things done quickly and efficiently. From Conservative Post: U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) released the following statement after spending time with President Trump this week discussing upcoming priorities:
“ President Trump is a political outsider and business guy who is listening to the American people. He is moving at a business pace, not a bureaucratic pace, and as a result, our economy is in the midst of a turnaround. Everybody in the country outside of the Washington bubble recognizes that the President’s agenda is beginning to work. Following the historic changes to our tax code, the reversal of hundreds of onerous regulations, and the unleashing of our energy potential we are already seeing increased levels of business and consumer confidence. “This year, we made some real progress. In 2018, we must keep up this momentum and build on the president’s early success. I remain committed to keeping the President’s agenda on track in the Senate by continuing to work alongside Senator Tom Cotton to change our archaic immigration system. In addition, we have to find ways to fully support our military, open up new markets for American businesses, and begin to rebuild our county’s infrastructure. It is more important than ever that we focus on getting results by implementing the President’s agenda.” President Trump’s First Year of Accomplishments: – 2 million new jobs created – 860 rules and regulations eliminated – 500 bureaucrats fired at the VA – 300 bureaucrats fired at the Department of Education – Illegal border crossings down by more than 60% – Consumer confidence is at 17 year high – CEO confidence is at 20 year high – Gorsuch confirmed to Supreme Court – 145 federal judges will be confirmed (12 circuit judges confirmed in Trump’s first year. Only 3 confirmed in Obama’s first year) – 2 straight quarters of 3% GDP growth – NATO countries beginning to pay their fair share – First time in 8 years we have reinvested in our military

President Trump’s Education as Commander in Chief
Would you believe that during his first year as Commander in Chief, President Donald Trump hosted 43 world leaders at the White House? In total, he engaged or met with 149 world leaders in 2017. In 183 calls, the President spoke with leaders from 51 countries. Not exactly the lack of connectivity his critics expected a year ago.

House Intel Committee subpoenas McCain associate over Trump dossier sources, committee confirms
A former State Department official with ties to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was subpoenaed by the House Intelligence Committee Wednesday because of his reported firsthand knowledge of the sources behind the salacious dossier on President Trump, the committee confirmed to Fox News.
Chairman Devin Nunes issued the subpoena to David Kramer, a senior fellow at the McCain Institute for International Leadership, on Wednesday afternoon to obtain the names of sources behind the dossier, the contents of which are not yet confirmed.

The House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed a former State Department official who has ties to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., over his connection to the source of the controversial dossier on President Trump.
Chairman Devin Nunes issued the subpoena to David Kramer, a senior fellow at the McCain Institute, who visited ex-British spy and dossier author Christopher Steele in London in November 2016. It was during this trip that he received a copy of the document, which McCain requested. The Arizona senator reportedly wanted to view “the pre-election memoranda on a confidential basis,” the court filings state.

McCain 'almost speechless' over Trump comments
Two months later, in January, McCain handed the document over to former FBI director James Comey.
The subpoena orders Kramer to appear before the committee on January 11, 2018.
Trump has repeatedly criticized the dossier, calling it “a pile of garbage” in a tweet this week.
“WOW, @foxandfrlends “Dossier is bogus. Clinton Campaign, DNC funded Dossier. FBI CANNOT (after all of this time) VERIFY CLAIMS IN DOSSIER OF RUSSIA/TRUMP COLLUSION. FBI TAINTED.” And they used this Crooked Hillary pile of garbage as the basis for going after the Trump Campaign!” he wrote Tuesday.

The great political surprise of 2018
After members of the elite media have spent two years savaging President Trump, lying about Republican legislation, and reassuring themselves that Republican defeat was inevitable, the size of the GOP victory in 2018 will be an enormous shock.
Legislation Proposed To End Facebook/Twitter Censoring Of Conservative News
In an ideal world, the First Amendment of the United States Constitution would be enough to stop all lawmakers and Internet-based corporations from actively looking for ways to censor those with whom they disagree politically. Sadly, however, the Constitution gets about as much attention as a rock on the side of the road, so conservatives are now forced to find other ways to preserve freedom of speech.
One of these conservatives looking to combat political censorship on the Internet is Paul Nehlen, who is currently challenging House Speaker Paul Ryan for his seat in the GOP primary. Nehlen has proposed “Shall Not Censor” legislation, which would essentially prohibit companies like Google and Facebook from censoring Americans’ lawful right to free speech on the Internet.
“We need a federal law prohibiting censorship of lawful speech on major social media platforms,” Nehlen has stated. “It is well-known that Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube discriminate against the right-wing, as evidenced by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s recent comments. While widely heralded for those comments, they rang hollow with no suggested solution. This law is that solution. It will extend Americans’ First Amendment free speech protections onto social media platforms.”
For the purpose of the proposed legislation, Nehlen has been very clear about what he means when he uses the word “censorship.” The term includes the denial of users to access the platform, “shadowbanning,” the “issuance of ‘verified’ status based on any factors unrelated to identity authentication,” demonization, modifying certain algorithms in a way that censors users with particular viewpoints, “embargoing content,” and “throttling accounts and/or content without disclosure.”
If freedom of speech as outlined in the First Amendment was actually respected and followed, then perhaps Nehlen’s proposed “Shall Not Censor” legislation would not be necessary. Internet-based companies would recognize that while they may have the ability to censor people on the other side of the political spectrum, they would ultimately accept the fact that the Constitution prevents them from doing so. Unfortunately, and as previously mentioned, the Constitution is often not followed and not respected, and therefore, Nehlen’s proposed legislation is absolutely necessary.
Just this past October, Breitbart News reported that Twitter blocked a pro-life advertisement posted by Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, in which Rep. Blackburn proudly stated that she “stopped the sale of body parts.” When pressed for an explanation by Marsha Blackburn’s social media team, Twitter explained that the reason the advertisement was removed was because the line “stopped the sale of body parts” could be seen by some as inflammatory and that it was “likely to evoke a strong negative reaction.” Twitter than stated that if that part of the advertisement were removed, the video would be permitted.
The popular video-sharing website YouTube has also developed a reputation for censoring conservative voices. Notably, several of conservative radio host Dennis Prager’s Prager U videos have been suppressed or silenced, including “The Most Important Question about Abortion,” “Is Islam a Religion of Peace?” “Why America Must Lead,” The Ten Commandments: Do Not Murder,” and many more.
The popular conservative duo Diamond and Silk have also had their videos demonetized by YouTube, despite the fact that they generally receive positive feedback.
It’s not just Twitter and YouTube, either. In the past, social media giants like Facebook, Google and others have also taken steps to censor the voices of those on the political Right.
It is all a direct assault on freedom of speech and the First Amendment, and quite frankly, Paul Nehlen’s “Shall Not Censor” legislation is needed now more than ever, before our liberty is gone forever. Read Suppressed.news for more coverage of information that’s suppressed by the establishment.

ISIS has lost 98 percent of its territory -- mostly since Trump took office, officials say
ISIS has lost 98 percent of the territory it once held -- with half of that terror group's so-called "caliphate" having been recaptured since President Trump took office less than a year ago, U.S. military officials said Tuesday.
The massive gains come after years of "onerous" rules, when critics say the Obama administration “micromanaged” the war and shunned a more intensive air strategy that could have ended the conflict much sooner.
“The rules of engagement under the Obama administration were onerous. I mean what are we doing having individual target determination being conducted in the White House, which in some cases adds weeks and weeks,” said retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula, the former head of U.S. Air Force intelligence. “The limitations that were put on actually resulted in greater civilian casualties.”
But the senior director for counterterrorism in former President Barack Obama’s National Security Council pushed back on any criticism the former president didn’t do enough to defeat ISIS.
“This was a top priority from the early days of ISIS gaining the type of territorial safe haven in particular, there was recognition that safe havens for terrorist groups can mean terrorist plots that extend — not just into the region — but to Europe and conceivably into the United States,” said Joshua Geltzer, author of “US Counter-Terrorism Strategy and al-Qaeda: Signalling and the Terrorist World-View,” now a visiting professor at Georgetown Law School.
The latest American intelligence assessment says fewer than 1,000 ISIS fighters now remain in Iraq and Syria, down from a peak of nearly 45,000 just two years ago. U.S. officials credit nearly 30,000 U.S.-led coalition airstrikes and regional partners on the ground for killing more than 70,000 jihadists. Meanwhile, only a few thousand have returned home.
The remaining ISIS strongholds are concentrated in a small area along the border of Syria and Iraq. ISIS, at one point, controlled an area the size of Ohio.
While ISIS has been largely defeated, it continues to call on followers around the world to conduct terror attacks during the holidays with a new message sprouting up on Tuesday, and a suicide attack in Kabul on Christmas with ISIS claiming responsibility. It’s part of the terror group’s effort to expand influence into Africa and Afghanistan. The U.S. envoy to the anti-ISIS coalition warned late last week not to expect a complete defeat anytime soon.
“ISIS became a brand, and a lot of pre-existing terrorist groups — you’ve seen this in the Sinai, for example — start to raise the flag of ISIS, mainly to recruit foreign fighters and other things,” said Brett McGurk, Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS at the U.S. Department of State, in a press briefing Thursday with reporters at the State Department.
Deptula thinks the ISIS fight would have ended much sooner if then-President Obama had given his military commander in the field more authority. He compared President Obama’s actions to President Lyndon B. Johnson during the Vietnam War.
“Obama micromanaged the war,” Deptula said. “We could have accomplished our objectives through the use of overwhelming air power in three months not in three years.”
Deptula said ISIS-controlled oil supplies weren’t targeted for 15 months beginning in 2014, giving the terror group $800 million in much needed revenue to plot attacks and enslave millions of innocents.
In addition to ISIS, an old nemesis has taken root in Syria, and which might take on a bigger priority for the Trump administration next year, according to Geltzer.
“A lot of folks when they think about Al Qaeda probably still think of its center of gravity as being on that Afghanistan-Pakistan border,” he said. “But I would think of the center of gravity for Al Qaeda really having shifted to Syria at this point.”

Top 100 Conservative Websites
The “Top 100” rankings were calculated by looking at Alexa rankings for roughly 180 conservative websites (U.S. ranks only). Global rankings were excluded because the point of the site is to look at popular U.S. conservative sites; foreign data would skew the results. Data is calculated by Alexa over a three-month period (at least, that’s the description we were able to find on the Alexa site).
